The State of Inventory Management 2026 study, conducted by inFlow Inventory, reveals that although 92% of operators claim to be satisfied with their current inventory management system, 85% still use spreadsheets as their primary tool, while 81% express interest in implementing artificial intelligence, yet only 11% currently use it.
If spreadsheets represent the present, artificial intelligence appears to be the leading option for the future.

The study shows that 81.2% of operators want to incorporate AI solutions, far exceeding their interest in technologies such as machine learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), or augmented reality.
