Yokohama Rubber announces investment of 380 mdd in Saltillo

With an investment of 380 million dollars, Yokohama Rubber tire company announced the construction of a new plant in the Alianza industrial park, Saltillo, Coahuila.

Said complex will begin its construction by the second quarter of 2024, which would begin with a start of operation in the first quarter of 2027. The facilities will have an annual production capacity of five million tires for passenger cars.

The base land where the construction will be built has a total of 610 thousand square meters, which gives the warehouse the opportunity to carry out expansions in various phases if required.

The industrial space will have access to a railway line and a highway, which gives the benefit of timely supply of its products to all customers in North America.

This capital injection will have the objective of fulfilling its consumption strategy of the company's new three-year medium-term plan (2024-2026) called “Yokohama Transformation” which seeks to maximize its sales.
