The new facilities of Webasto Group Charging Mexico were inaugurated, in the VYNMSA industrial park, located on the Irapuato-Silao highway.

This will be the third plant in Mexico and the first Webasto charger plant in North America.

The investment of this new complex was 51.6 million dollars, starting operations from last November 2022, with three production lines.

The company of German origin was installed for the first time in 2009 in the Castro Del Río Industrial Park, in Irapuato.

On that occasion, 6 million dollars were invested, where it began to produce sunroofs for the markets of the United States, Brazil and India.

This new inaugurated warehouse has 6,000 square meters and plans to produce 1.6 million charger units for this year.

Alberto Cordero, director of the Webasto Charging Mexico plant, reported that by 2025, a plant expansion is planned that could reach up to 21,600 square meters and the generation of 460 jobs, as well as the increase in production to 3.6 million Of units.
