Nafin to Direct $100 Million Toward Sustainable Building Projects in Mexico

To support the decarbonization of real estate in Mexico, Nacional Financiera (Nafin) will promote projects that incorporate criteria for energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and climate resilience through a credit line of up to $100 million.

The scheme also includes $1.5 million for technical assistance—funds provided by the French Development Agency—as well as a preferential interest rate tailored to the specific characteristics of each project.

The support covers feasibility studies, environmental and social risk assessments, performance simulations, energy optimization, the integration of a gender perspective, and the monitoring of sustainability measures.
