The plans already announced on average represent 35,472 million dollars annually, 40% come from the manufacturing sector and represent the expansion of companies created in Mexico by foreigners (67%), as announced by the Ministry of Economy.

These investments make Mexico a destination trusted by foreign investors to maintain and expand their investments and show the interest on the part of new companies to establish themselves in the country, as stated by Raquel Buenrostro, head of this agency.

Various investment announcements such as that of the automotive company Tesla and others such as liquefied natural gas transportation projects join new initiatives for the construction of industrial parks, among the most recognized projects.

The figure expected at the end of 2023 would exceed on average what was recorded in 2022 when it recorded 35 million 291 thousand dollars of FDI, the largest amount recorded in seven years. With figures until the third quarter, the amount reported 32,296 million dollars, which represented an increase of 2.4% compared to the same period in 2022.

A quarter of the resources expected for the coming years are investments from companies that do not have a presence in Mexico, coming from China, Taiwan, Denmark and Germany, which represents a diversification of resources.
