The Bajío industrial sector has started the year showing a decline in industrial space leasing. During the first quarter of 2026, gross absorption was 280,000 square meters, 30% lower than in the same quarter of the previous year.

During the first quarter, the pace of investment in the country was more moderate than the previous year. This reflects greater caution on the part of companies and translates into lower space absorption.
Demand in the Bajío region was concentrated mainly in Guanajuato, which accounted for 47% of the total, followed by Querétaro with 31% of the quarter's occupancies.
