LEGO invests 205 million dollars in expanding its Ciénega de Flores plant

With this expansion, the LEGO plant will be the largest in the world for the Danish company. The facilities will be ready in May 2025, by then 1,400 more jobs will have been generated; Currently around 500 people work in a temporary external plant.

With this new warehouse, 42 production lines will be added: 36 pre-packaging production lines in paper bags and six final packaging production lines.

The capacity of this warehouse will be for 16,000 pallets, in addition the work will have the sustainability certification granted by the USGBC with a LEED Gold level, which endorses the construction process and the operation of the buildings.

“After 15 years of starting operations at this plant in Ciénega de Flores, we continue to invest and incorporate more talented employees into our workforce,” said Nancy Sáchez, vice president of Americas Manufacturing and GM of LEGO Mexico Operations.
