
Kimball Electronics México, a company from the United States, began the construction of a new plant in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, with a total investment of 48 million dollars, which will make it the second of the company in the border territory.
The industrial installation is carried out on a land of 48 thousand square meters and the industrial warehouse will have 23 thousand square meters.
At the end of the work, it is intended that this real estate addition will add 500 jobs in the short term and 1,500 more in the medium term, both direct and indirect; between operators, engineers, transporters and administrators.

Kimball Electronics México is a manufacturer of medical, automotive, industrial and public safety equipment, which was established in the region almost 50 years ago.
Since then, its facilities in Reynosa have become one of the largest plants operating in the world and that, despite the pandemic, remained at 100% of its production capacity.
Kimball Electronics' commitment will contribute to the economic growth of Tamaulipas, thus allowing the region to become an attractive destination for other production companies.

The state to the north of Mexico received 602 million dollars in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) at the end of the first half of 2021, according to the Ministry of Economic Development.
And just in the last 5 years, the municipality of Reynosa captured more than 50% of the total investment of the state.
Currently, there are 12 new investments, in addition to that of Kimball Electronics and 115 industry expansions and an airport development.
