Industrial construction starts in Bajio increase 7% compared to July-August 2024

The Bajio region maintains high industrial activity, driven by demand for speculative space and Build to Suit projects, consolidating Queretaro, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosi, and Aguascalientes as strategic manufacturing and logistics centers in Mexico.

At the end of August 2025, the Bajio region reported 275,000 square meters of industrial construction starts, 7% more than the figure reported for the same period in 2024.

The Queretaro market led construction started during the two-month period, accounting for 35% of the activity in the region. San Luis Potosí ranked second, representing 29% of the total.

In Guanajuato, construction starts accounted for 25%, while Aguascalientes registered the remaining 11%.

Overall, the Bajio region accounted for a third of the new industrial projects started during July and August 2025 nationwide, showing solid performance in the development of new projects.
