35% increase in national industrial demand

During the second quarter of 2021, the demand for industrial space in Mexico had a quarterly growth of over 35 percent.

This was reported by Solili in his Industrial Report and added that the total gross demand in Mexico was 1.7 million square meters.

According to estimates from the platform, this indicator was expected to grow approximately 15% during the quarter, however, the increase was more than double what was projected.

For its part, net demand registered a figure close to 900 thousand square meters: "This shows that the industrial market in Mexico is going through one of its best moments," he added.

Although industrial demand is active, it is worth mentioning that the highest growth is concentrated in the main markets of Mexico.

Monterrey was positioned this quarter as the main demand for industrial space at the national level, since according to figures from the platform, the gross demand was 313 thousand square meters.

For its part, Mexico City was placed in second place with a total of 288 thousand square meters, which represents a quarterly increase of 10% and 60% per year.

Other cities with high levels of demand were GuanajuatoTijuana , QuerétaroSaltillo and Ciudad Juárez; which exceed 100 thousand square meters.
