Manufacturing exports increase 23% in the first four months of 2026

The Mexican manufacturing sector continues to reaffirm its role as a fundamental element of the country's export economy.

During the first four months of 2026, total exports grew by 21.8%, and manufacturing exports advanced by 23.3%, representing 91.1% of total exports.

In addition to supporting Mexico's foreign trade, the manufacturing sector contributes approximately 20% of the national GDP and sustains formal employment in the main industrial regions, with more than 9.69 million people employed in the sector.

Among the states dedicated to manufacturing, Chihuahua stands out as one of the most industrially oriented, concentrating 98.6% of its exports in the manufacturing sector.
