Holcim acquires new production plants in Quere taro.

Holcim México, a cement company, acquired two new concrete plants belonging to Grupo COMOSA in the state of Querétaro, with the initiative of strengthening its presence in the Mexican industry.

With this acquisition, the cement company is expected to double its current production in Querétaro, reaching a total of 36 thousand cubic meters per hour in a monthly period.

By 2023, Holcim already had a total of 70 concrete plants throughout the country, and will open four more during the year.

In 2022, it purchased Distribuidora de Concreto del Caribe (CONCRECAR), which served as the main supplier of ready-mixed concrete for the markets of Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Isla Blanca and Tulum.

The company has seven cement plants and one grinding plant in Mexican territory, where a total of 13.3 million tons of premixed cement, concrete, gravel and sand are produced annually.
