
The Chinese company Hisense announced the construction of a new home appliance manufacturing plant and an industrial park in the state of Nuevo León, for which $ 260 million will be allocated.
According to the company and the government of Nuevo León, the objective of this investment is to form an integrated operating system for research and development at the factory.
The plant will be located in the Hofusan industrial park in the municipality of Salinas Victoria, in an area of 252,600 square meters.
The plant will aim to shorten the production cycle, reduce logistics and transport time, since its production will be destined for sales in Mexico, the United States and Canada.
The project will generate in the first instance a thousand new jobs, to reach seven thousand job sources in the next five years.
The facility will be used mainly for the production of refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens and air conditioners.}
Of the nine industrial corridors that make up the city of Monterrey, Apodaca stands out for having a little more than 40% of industrial inventories, Solili points out in its February 2021 report.
The demand during the first two months of the year, mostly speculative, was concentrated at 45% on this corridor, which reinforces the selection of this area where services converge, connectivity with equidistance to the main industrial corridors in Monterrey.
