With an investment of 437 million pesos (mp), Tetra Pak will expand its facilities in Querétaro; this extension will generate more states in the entity.

The increase contemplates a production line for the cutting area, where through the implementation of new technologies, the company will have significant growth.

It also considers two lines in the rolling area that will allow it to increase its capacity based on an investment in state-of-the-art equipment that will pay for the generation of new jobs.

Robert Graves, director of Tetra Pak, commented that the production capacity will rise to 12.8 billion packages per year, in addition to strengthening ties with the state administration, which they currently support with the distribution of 20 million school breakfasts for the benefit of more than 100 thousand minors.

According to the manager, the Querétaro plant, with 500 permanent jobs, ranks number two in terms of capacity worldwide, since it produces around 11.3 billion containers a year for the markets of Mexico, the United States , Canada, Central America and the Caribbean, in addition to exports to Europe and Asia.

At a press conference, the state governor, Mauricio Kuri, pointed out that Tetra Pak's history is an example of vision, work and innovation, virtues that have impacted people.

Likewise, he affirmed that the directors of the company in the entity will continue to find the best infrastructure, unparalleled social and labor peace, as well as the talent of its people.

In this sense, he indicated that it is time to support socially responsible companies, he also sent a message to the citizens of his work as president.

“I think it is very important to continue sending this signal to the world, to continue expanding the signal to the industries so that we can continue supporting this type of companies that give a lot to Querétaro, that support us a lot and that, without a doubt, are the companies that come to stay".
