In Guanajuato more than half a hundred companies expand operations

With an investment of more than 3.3 billion dollars and the commitment to generate more than 21,600 jobs, 51 national and foreign companies have expanded their operations in Guanajuato.

In this regard, the head of the Secretariat for Sustainable Economic Development (SDES), Ramón Alfaro Gómez, added that the commitment of Guanajuato talent is recognized and represents one of the main factors for the arrival of projects that generate new employment opportunities to improve the quality of life of Guanajuato families.

The companies that have expanded their operations in the state are located inside and outside the Industrial Corridor in the municipalities: Apaseo el Grande, Celaya, Irapuato, León, Salamanca, San José Iturbide, San Miguel de Allende, Silao and Villagrán, thus it is consolidated in regional and balanced economic development of the entity.

These investments have as countries of origin: Germany, Austria, Spain, the United States, France, India, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom, increasing the presence of Guanajuato in the world and vice versa.

These projects belong to the sectors: metal-mechanics, automotive-auto parts, agro-industrial, plastic, new technologies, construction, ceramics and materials, thus opening up opportunities in traditional sectors and others with a higher technological content.

Some of the companies that have endorsed their trust in the entity are: Pirelli, Mazda, Michelin, Denso, Ferrero, Volkswagen, Nestlé-Purina, Procter & Gamble, Kromberg & Schubert, among others.
