
Following a working visit by Guanajuato State Governor Libia Denisse García, it was announced that the Japanese company NHK Spring will expand its operations in Irapuato, Guanajuato, with a $55 million investment in a new plant. The plant will generate more than 200 new jobs.

The company specializes in the manufacture of springs for automotive suspensions and electric motor cores. It already has a plant in Irapuato, which was opened in 2014 and expanded in 2017.
The governor emphasized that the economic promotion in Japan yielded results as it strengthened the commercial alliance between the state and the company, understanding that growth is based on investments that require two important components: trust and certainty.

The governor added that this new project represents a quality employment opportunity for Guanajuato families, in addition to consolidating the state's position as a key destination for automotive investment in the country.
