Coahuila inaugurates 1st stage of housing macro development

The Mexican developer Ruba, together with authorities from the state of Coahuila and the municipality of Torreón, inaugurated the first stage of the Rincón del Marqués macro-housing development, which it estimates will take 10 years to complete.

The project will have a total investment of 1,950 million pesos (mdp) and seeks to become a new hub for housing and economic development in the La Laguna region.

In this way, 2,600 homes in the Middle segment will be built, and a direct annual economic benefit of 150 million pesos will be generated.

Ruba stressed that the houses are priced from 935,000 pesos and can be financed through mortgage loans from banks, the Institute of the National Workers' Housing Fund (Infonavit), the ISSSTE Housing Fund (Fovissste) or some Sofom.

In addition, of the first 40 houses built in this start-up stage, most of them have already been sold; which reflects a great acceptance by client families and prospects.

On the other hand, Ruba indicated that the project will generate 2,340 jobs per year,1,300 direct jobs and 1,040 indirect jobs for each year of execution.

“Both the authorities and the businessmen agreed that this new housing direction will give Torreón not only growth, but orderly growth; at the same time generating chain investments in commercial, service and industrial matters, with attention to the provision of functional, beautiful, accessible and quality housing for families in this thriving region of Coahuila and Durango”, Ruba mentioned.
