Guanajuato is advancing its digital economy infrastructure with three data center projects representing a combined investment of $630 million and the creation of 200 direct jobs, the state government reported.

The arrival of these projects is accompanied by investments in energy infrastructure—a key requirement for data center operations given the high electricity consumption involved in data processing and storage.

Energy availability and Guanajuato’s location within the Bajío region are additional factors driving the development of these projects.
