In April 2026, the Mexico City industrial market saw the start of construction on 108,000 square meters of industrial buildings, doubling the area registered in the same month of 2025.

Construction starts in April were dominated by Class B buildings, which accounted for three of the five projects started, representing 41% of the new construction. Class A buildings, meanwhile, registered two projects, representing the remaining 59%.
The Zumpango submarket continues to lead in new projects, accounting for 47% of total construction starts, in response to the greater availability of land for industrial development and the strengthening of its connectivity, factors that have driven its consolidation as one of the fastest-growing submarkets within the Mexico City industrial market.

Mexico City led the nation in construction starts, accounting for 45% of the total. Despite the slowdown in construction activity observed nationwide, the capital maintains sustained momentum.
