Airbus inaugurated the expansion of its plant in Querétaro, a project that incorporates new manufacturing capabilities, components for commercial aircraft and helicopters, as well as automation technology aimed at increasing production and process precision.

The expansion will allow for increased manufacturing of passenger doors for the A320 family, the incorporation of new production stages, and an increase in the facility's operating capacity from approximately 600,000 production hours per year to more than 800,000 hours by 2028.

Dominik Raps, managing director of Airbus Querétaro, highlighted that the expansion is part of the company's global strategy to strengthen its supply chain, expand production, and develop new manufacturing capabilities.
