The AMPI foresees a rebound in the housing sector once the pandemic is controlled

Similar to what happened after the Spanish flu and World War I, the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) predicts that there will be a rebound in home purchases and rentals as soon as the pandemic is controlled.

In an interview with El UNIVERSAL, Roberto José Barrios, president of the organization, explained that while the Spanish flu and the First World War were taking place, Mexico was experiencing its Revolution, an event in which many people died, but there was also a great migration from the countryside to the city, which triggered the demand for housing.
