During the first month of 2020, only nine entities nationwide recorded progress within the Monthly Indicator of Industrial Activity by Federal Entity (IMAIEF) of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), including Aguascalientes.

According to this indicator, at a national level the sector contracted 1.3%, but in Aguascalientes the industry had a growth of 3%. This item was led by Tabasco, with 11%, followed by Veracruz and Sonora with 9 and 7% respectively.
