As a result of the health emergency caused by COVID-19 in Mexico and with it the restrictions on trade, many companies have had to migrate to digital platforms to sustain their businesses.

Mercado Libre has been able to take advantage of the e-commerce boom and from March 2020 to the beginning of January of this year it added 125 new stores to its platform, a growth of 123 percent.

Firms such as Adidas, Nike, GNC, Devlyn, have turned to the firm to offer their product catalogs instead of developing their own trading platforms.

Currently, Mercado Libre has a distribution center of around 100,000 square meters in Tepotzotlán, State of Mexico.

It also has a 30 thousand square meter warehouse in Cuautitlán.

According to the Solili platform, the Tepotzotlán corridor has an inventory of 2 million 11 thousand 643 square meters with a vacancy rate of 10.01 percent.

Due to its connectivity and space, this corridor is one of those that may perform better this year due to the boom in online sales and the need for companies' distribution centers to be closer to Mexico City.

Consult Solili for the availability of industrial buildings in this corridor and in others that make up the metropolitan area of Mexico City.
