IKEA will have a second store in Puebla

The minimalist furniture chain, IKEA, announced that its second store in Mexico will be located in Puebla.

With an area of 10,832 square meters, it will be located in the Vía San Ángel shopping center.

According to the Solili platform, the industrial real estate market in Puebla has remained stable and without major changes in the vacancy and construction indicators.

The closest corridor to the Vía San Ángel shopping center, Huejotzingo has an inventory of 654 thousand 524 square meters, with a vacancy of the order of 8.8 percent.

In a statement, IKEA explained that this store will also have a restaurant with a capacity of 380 people.

No investment amount was provided, while the opening is planned for the first half of 2022. The Swedish firm planned to open its first store located in Mexico City in the fall of 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic this moved for the first quarter of 2021.
