Zoom begins operations of its new data center in Mexico

Zoom Video Communications announced the start of operations of its data center in Mexico, which is located in Quintana Roo. It is the first of the company in our country.

According to the company, this demonstrates its commitment to the country, seeking to provide the best experience to its local user base.

Currently, it has a total of 21 data centers co-located around the world and in the public cloud, which are hosted in Canada, China, Europe, India, Japan / Hong Kong, Latin America and the United States.

The data center co-located in Mexico is already up and running and Zoom is in the process of enabling it for Mexican accounts in the coming months. Once the migration is complete, Mexican participants will have the option to join through the Zoom Quintana Roo Data Center for their Zoom cloud meetings.

The company leverages a robust global network to support its users no matter where they are, routing traffic natively through the assembly zone that will provide the best performance.

Zoom went from 10 million daily meeting participants in December 2019 to 300 million in April 2020. This period saw a technological boost that resulted in innovation, and during which Zoom launched more than 400 new features on its platform in 2020, also emerging many startups with innovative solutions that address the challenges of the new normal.

According to Solili, the industrial demand at the national level was 354 thousand square meters during the month of May 2021, which gives a cumulative of 804 thousand square meters for the period April-May 2021.
