ZF Group will expand operations in Querétaro

The German automotive industry firm announced the expansion of its operations in the state of Querétaro, where it will incorporate the first cable-steering line with steering wheel actuators, placing the entity as a global pioneer in the development of this technology.

The project aims to integrate electronic driving, to make it more accurate and safer, in the direction of passenger and commercial vehicles.

Of interest: Querétaro leads the demand of the Bajío industrial region.

It was specified that through this investment more than 100 new jobs will be created, it is intended that at the end of 2023 they will make a new start of production also with new technology, coming from the state, to serve a large part of the North American market.

In Querétaro ZF Group has 3 facilities in which it manufactures brake safety systems located in the Querétaro industrial park, also develops brake systems in the Querétaro innovation technology park and manufactures steering systems in the Bernardo Quintana park.

The German company has been present in the country since 1965, at the moment it has 16 factories in Mexico that generate more than 25 thousand jobs. It should be noted that Germany was the third country that invested the most in Mexico in 2023, with an amount of 124.3 million dollars of foreign direct investment that represented 11.2% of the investment that the state received, according to records from the Ministry of Economy.
