WTC will invest in Mexico 50 million pesos for tourism projects

Christopher Nassetta, president of the WTTC council, reported that the organization will invest 50 billion pesos in Mexican tourism projects over the next few years, this will generate more than 100,000 new jobs.

The statement was made during the 20th edition of the World Travel and Tourism Council, an event hosted by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). This is the first international summit held since the Covid-19 outbreak and seeks economic reactivation in the sector.

Mexico and the world are at a key point to reinvent tourism in a way that is safe and profitable. Other guests attended the Nobel Peace Prize winner and former president of Colombia Manuel Santos, among other directors of companies such as Marriot, Carnival Corporation, Meliá, Hilton and internava.

According to the real estate analysis platform Solili, in Mexico City the average sale price of residences is located at 7 million 808 thousand 429 pesos, a decrease of 1.7 percent when compared to the 8 million average registered towards December of 2020.
