In said meeting they provided details of the investment of the German automaker in the state -which is equivalent to anchoring a new plant-, and that it will be making known in more detail towards the last quarter of this year.

'We had the second meeting of the year with Governor Miguel Barbosa and Secretary Olivia Salomón where we talked about the investments that we will start soon and that will improve the Infrastructure and Technology of our plant in Puebla, the project includes the production of a new vehicle. The investment will include the most advanced technology in the paint warehouse that will be used for the first time in the world by the German company, as well as the development of prints.

"In Puebla, the conditions exist for investments like Volkswagen's to find fertile ground, benefiting their business development but also generating new sustainable mobility solutions and benefits for thousands of families in our state," said the governor.

Miguel Barbosa welcomed the announcement, since Puebla cannot be explained without Volkswagen and added that "with these projects, the VW company will offer job stability to more than 11,000 people who work at the Puebla plant."

This investment is consolidated thanks to the conditions of infrastructure, human capital, connectivity, public security, economic and political stability offered by the state of Puebla, which allowed the project to win against other assembly plants of the group at a national and global level, promoted by Volkswagen's new CEO in Mexico, Holger Nestler, referred to the Secretary of Economy, Olivia Salomón.
