Valle Redondo, the manufacturer of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, including the California wine from tetrapack, the most sold in Mexico, will invest around 200 million pesos in Aguascalientes during 2021 to expand its production.

The investment will take place in two phases: first for the opening of a cogeneration plant and for the expansion of the manufacturing plant, said Alejandro Cetto, CEO of Valle Redondo in an interview with THE CEO.

“This project has been going on for more than a year since we began to investigate what the alternatives were. In the end, we decided to have a cogeneration plant where you can generate, in this case, water vapor and electricity, which are the most important inputs for our production, ”he commented.

The cogeneration plant will allow them to supply 100% of their energy needs and 50% of their water vapor needs. This is part of its commitments as a Socially Responsible Company, to which are added its efforts to issue carbon credits and its wastewater processing plant.

"We also have significant investments in filtration and pumping systems, as well as one to achieve zero water leaks and that has allowed us to reduce our water impact and the consumption we do is very conscious," said the manager.

The second phase of the investment of 200 million is an extension to its production hall that is designed to grind fruit and later convert it into pulp of which a part is used for the production of beverages. With this new site they will be able to increase 27,000 tons of processed fruit per year.

That will allow them to move forward with an export strategy to countries such as the United States, Canada and the European Union.

According to Solili, Aguascalientes registered a demand of just over 13 thousand square meters in the month of May 2021, continuing the trend of the upturn in demand observed in the month of April 2021.
