Currently, a quarter of the country's population is concentrated in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey, therefore, they are considered the largest cities.

For its part, in Central America, 59% of the population lives in cities, however, according to World Bank reports, it is expected that by 2050, the figure will increase to 70%.

This will turn the area into the territory with the highest rate of urban population growth, preceded by Africa.

In search of solutions to the problem of increasing urban population, micro cities and mixed-use projects are being developed.

Its function is to bring together homes, offices, shops, restaurants, recreational spaces, among others, in small spaces, which makes the most of the territorial limitation.

Martín Gómez Platero, Director of Gómez Platero Arquitectura & Urbanismo points out that in the coming years there will be great changes in cities.

The architect ensures that mixed uses reduce carbon emissions; micro cities provide community space and green areas encourage interaction in the community, as pointed out during the Real Estate Business Expo, an event organized by B2B Media and Inmobiliare.
