UPL invests 11 million dollars in Coahuila for Biosoluciones

United Phosphorus Limited (UPL) laid the first stone of what will be its Biosoluciones Research Center (NPP), while the first stone of what will be the new Natural Extracts plant was also symbolically laid, in Ramos Arizpe, in the municipality of Arteaga.

During a public event, the Secretary of Housing and Territorial Planning of the State, Enrique Martínez y Morales, who attended on behalf of Governor Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís, indicated that an investment of 11 million dollars was made in Coahuila by the company United Phosphorus Limited (UPL).

Likewise, the signing of a sustainability collaboration agreement was signed between UPL and the Coahuila Secretary of the Environment for the adoption of the Torreón Garden and the Saltillo Urban Forest.

In this regard, Martínez and Morales recognized that the investment of 11 million dollars corresponds to the strengths of Coahuila since it is one of the safest entities and with the best citizen perception, as well as the competitiveness and development that exists in the state.

“These solutions such as the NPP, this project and these Biosolutions in which we believe, in which we trust, because they fill us with pride, and because we love that this type of investment arrives, and even more so when it is a company like UPL that is committed to with the community (…) They provide well-paid jobs for our people, they pay their taxes, they are companies that we really want in Coahuila, and it is good that they are here.”

For his part, the mayor of Ramos Arizpe, José María Morales Padilla, explained that the growth of UPL is part of the determined and committed work of the Governor to generate a framework of certainty, safe conditions, and productive advantages to make Coahuila with a social balance, with business investment, and job stability.

Also present at the event were Nathalie Hummel, Global Director of New Agricultural Technologies and Research Platforms at NPP; Amit Aggarwal, Director of Latam Marketing at UPL, in addition to various state officials.
