Three Volkswagen supplier companies evaluate settling in Puebla

Three Volkswagen supplier companies are interested in settling in the San Martín Texmelucan Industrial Park, which will begin operations before the end of 2023, reported the Puebla Ministry of Economy. The property will be built on a 251,191-square-meter piece of land that used to belong to the DuPont paint company.

Currently, the Puebla authorities already have the property, although they are waiting for the approval of the land use permits, as well as an executive project with the Infrastructure Secretariat.

He also shared that the State Government will sign an agreement with Nuevo León in June, but is still in talks. With it, automotive suppliers will be able to move their merchandise through the express passage that connects with the US more quickly.

With the arrival of automotive companies, it would no longer be necessary to carry out the subdivision process or urbanization of smaller lots. Despite this, they still need to do the general urbanization, with an estimated duration of eight months, so it could be completed in January 2024.

On the other hand, the agency assured that the consolidation of the clusters of the automotive, pharmaceutical chemical, construction and housing sectors that were launched are a priority. These groups of companies are working together with the private initiative for the development of the new ones.
