Torre Porrúa starts construction as part of the economic reactivation in CDMX

On Avenida Juárez 56 at the corner with Luis Moya in Mexico City, the construction of the Torre Porrúa began, a charge of Alfa Desarrolladora that will begin the demolition works of the building, which dates back to the 30s and which suffered damage in the earthquakes of 1985 and 2017.

It is one of the buildings that seeks to revitalize the Historic Center through the Economic Reactivation Program for Mexico City.

The work has a private investment of approximately 190 million pesos, which will generate 250 direct and 120 indirect jobs.

In October 2019, the demolition of five of the eight levels was authorized to mitigate the condition of high structural risk. The renovated Torre Porrúa will be a mixed-use building, which will have shops, offices and housing.

In addition, for construction they have planned structural techniques suitable for the type of soil in the area, as well as sustainability measures.

The demolition of Torre Porrúa will improve the urban planning quality in addition to others that, in addition to rescuing the spaces, give vitality to the area and invite investment.
