The Home Depot opens second 8,500 m2 store in Escobedo

The Home Depot, the home improvement store, together with the Escobedo authorities, placed the first stone of what will be its second store in this municipality, with an investment of 410 million pesos.

It is expected to start operations during the first quarter of next year, said Erika Díaz, vice president of Online Sales, Marketing and Special Services, of the US retailer.

In an event held on the premises located on Avenida Raúl Salinas and Avenida Mirasur, in Escobedo, Erika Díaz and the mayor of Escobedo, Andrés Mijes, were in charge of laying the first stone and starting the construction of this new store.

The new store will have 8,500 square meters of sales floor and will make available to its customers the best value proposition for construction, remodeling and decoration through more than 25,000 products.

“Home Depot is looking to grow throughout Mexico, there are analyzes that are made of each location, of the growth potential in each locality, to ensure that it is a (viable) proposal. The Home Depot has a presence in the United States and Canada and we compete with everyone, there are more projects to come”.

It will be the second store in the municipality of Escobedo and will join the more than 11 stores that exist in the Monterrey Metropolitan Area, nationwide they have 129 units.

As part of the event, local authorities and the company toured the first Logistics Node in Nuevo León, which will strengthen its logistics network by shortening delivery times, supporting the growth of new stores, as well as having the capacity to handle complex, bulky and heavy products to serve the markets where they operate faster.

This logistics center represented an investment of 44 million pesos and is part of a growth plan for the brand, which began in 2020 and will run until 2025, with an approximate investment of one billion pesos for the logistics network. Diaz noted.
