The industry in Baja California continues with a positive trend and this is evident with announcements such as that of Grupo TACNA, one of the largest shelters in the region, which announced the arrival of more than 60 million dollars in investments.

The director and legal representative of Grupo TACNA, Ossie Díaz, assured that for the following months of 2022 the expansion and arrival of more investment for Baja California is expected.

"We are already the largest Shelter in the state with almost 15,000 employees, and I would like to announce that in the coming months the TACNA Group will be expanding around 60 million dollars more in investment," he reported.

He mentioned that this figure will generate between 3,500 and 4,000 direct and indirect jobs in the coming months, since more than 700,000 square feet will be built in additional industrial buildings in the entity.

The industrial sectors that stand out are medical devices, aerospace and electronics, with the return on investments in the television and display area.

Ossie Díaz stressed that this growth in industrial investments in Baja California is thanks to the close collaboration with the State Secretariat of Economy and Innovation.

It is worth mentioning that Grupo TACNA has been operating in the entity since 1983, adding today more than 14 thousand employees, and more than 60 clients in the industrial sector.

In addition, it currently leases 4 million square feet and processes around 5,000 monthly imports/exports, with a team of 220 professionals for the launch of new industrial operations

The executive pointed out that Grupo TACNA is made up of three different divisions: shelter services, technology business process outsourcing, and two manufacturing divisions in Mexico.

Finally, he assured that the group has established itself as one of the great investment promoters, and one of the largest employers in Baja California, which recently opened new corporate offices in Tijuana.
