Governor Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís announced the arrival of Sunstrong International to Torreón, marking the 57th project so far this year in Coahuila. This investment of 20 million dollars will generate 500 new jobs for the La Laguna region.

Sunstrong is a global company with more than 40 years of experience in manufacturing electrical products and plants in China, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam.

Your investment will be joint with the company Milwaukee Tool Torreón. Sunstrong will focus on developing charging devices for Milwaukee tools, including drills and electronic processing tablets in the first phase.

Jimmy Lu, Senior Business Development Manager at Sunstrong, celebrated this momentous moment and expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome he has received in Torreón. He highlighted the importance of supporting local culture, announcing the creation of 500 jobs in the new factory.

The Sunstrong facility will occupy 45,000 square meters, of which 25,000 will be allocated for the production of chargers in collaboration with Milwaukee. The factory will have capacity for MT production lines and its own design of plastic injection molds.

In the investment announcement, Governor Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís took the opportunity to affirm that General Motors, Daimler and Stellantis will surpass the production of electric vehicles in Coahuila compared to Tesla in Nuevo León.

He highlighted that the rapid growth of this industry will require a highly qualified workforce, which will provide opportunities so that graduates of local universities do not have the need to emigrate to other regions of the country.
