With an investment of 955 million pesos, Governor Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda launched the construction of the Siemens plant in the municipality of Santa Catarina.

The objective of the 'Mitras Project' is to transfer the plastic injection factory from Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, to these facilities in Nuevo León.

In his message, the president said that more and more international companies choose Nuevo León as one of the best options to settle, due to its geographical position with the United States and its human capital.

“Exports from January to April grew 23 percent and today we are 15 percent further from second place in exports. So, of course, for the Government it is a privilege and it is a source of pride that they invite us to continue laying the first stones, to continue announcing that millions of dollars, billions of pesos are arriving,” he added.

For its operation, the German company installed a distributed generation system, which works through a photovoltaic park with the capacity to generate 813,804 kWh per year. Currently, the Santa Catarina factory employs 2,200 people and focuses on the assembly of low voltage items.
