The Secretary of Economic Development (SEDECO) of San Luis Potosí announced the arrival of at least 20 companies from the automotive sector, a fact that, if materialized, would be equivalent to a capital injection of more than 1,000 million pesos in the entity, with the to settle in 2023, promoting the economic growth of San Luis Potosí.

In this sense, he highlighted the completion of the rehabilitation works of the lateral sections of Highway 57, which goes to Matehuala and Querétaro, will improve mobility and trigger the growth and economic development of the state.

Other important investment projects related to automotive supply have recently been completed, the most recent example being Dayco, which announced the construction of its second plant in San Luis Potosí.

The new Tier 2 plant will be located in Parque Tres Naciones, in the capital of San Luis Potosí, will focus on the manufacture of the latest generation belts for light vehicles and will require an investment of 11.5 million dollars.

The construction of the new Dayco plant could be completed in 2023 and start operations at the beginning of 2024. The production of the new facilities will be destined for the North American market, but it will help to generate close to 100 jobs in its first phase alone.
