Film studios are built in Ecatepec in 800 m2

With an initial investment of 90 million pesos, a production company has chosen the municipality of Ecatepec, in the State of Mexico, to build the largest film studios in Latin America.

This was announced by the municipal president, Fernando Vilchis Contreras, who explained that this is a sign of the confidence that investors have in the town, thanks to the positive results obtained in terms of security and infrastructure.

Initially, it was reported that Netflix was the company in charge of the development, however, the local authorities clarified that it was another production company, although they did not reveal more details.

Despite this, they stated that the space is planned to be used by the major content networks worldwide, including Netflix, HBO and Disney Channel.

During the award ceremony for the participants of the first International Film and Music Festival in Mexico, held in Ecatepec, Fernando Vilchis explained that the film studios are located on a property in the Jardines de Cerro Gordo neighborhood.

Currently, the work registers an initial advance with the construction of the first two warehouses within the complex, of about 800 square meters; as well as an administrative building.

Finally, he stated that these film studios will be a bastion for the municipality, so a new era for education will be reborn.
