Acquisition of land for Tesla gigafactory is finalized

The Tesla company completed the purchase of six pieces of land that cover 1,700 hectares between the highway and the Monterrey-Saltillo highway to establish the electric car Gigafactory, confirmed to the Milenio Multimedios platform a source of information linked to the purchase-sale operation of the polygons of properties that would have amounted to a little more than two thousand 500 million pesos.

These are the lands of the Carvajal-El Jonuco and Anillo Vial ranch, in Santa Catarina, in front of the exclusive Terralta real estate development, at kilometer 51 of the Monterrey-Saltillo free highway and the toll highway.

To give a context about the real estate operation, this amount represents almost half of the resources that Monterrey Water and Drainage Services designated for the construction of the El Cuchillo II aqueduct, which was 5,701 million pesos, out of a total project investment 10 thousand 444 million pesos.
