After 17 years in Mexico, the German company that manufactures fastening systems will invest more than 150 million pesos for the construction of a building and an industrial warehouse in the Querétaro Innovation Technology Park, located in the municipality of El Marqués.

Marcos Sepúlveda, president of SCHUNK INTEC Mexico, commented that with the rise and positioning of electric vehicles worldwide, a new way of manufacturing and machining is being created, which is why the country has consolidated, after China, with the largest potential in the machinery manufacturing market.

“In Germany they decided to invest in the building to be able to manufacture and assemble machines here in Mexico, which can be exported to Central and South America, as well as the North American region. But I have not taken my finger off the line of being able to also export to Europe and Asia, since the country is geographically located in a strategic point, so all this added up for the company to decide to invest here”.

The machines that are being assembled in Querétaro are currently produced in Germany and China, so it is projected that, in two years, the country will reach the manufacturing levels of the Asian nation.
