Fibra Nova, a Mexican real estate investment trust, signed an agreement with RR Donnelley to extend the lease they previously held, where they agreed on improvements to the property located in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.

The agreement consists of restarting the lease term for five years from the date of substantial delivery of the improvements, with the option of three additional renewal periods for three years each, the company said in a statement.

RR Donnelley is an American Fortune 500 integrated communications company. It provides marketing and business communications, business printing and related services.

This fiber agreement that belongs to Grupo Bafar, dedicated to the distribution and sale of meat products, was added to the one reported in early April, with Estra Automotive to extend the lease for five years.

The contract contemplates the expansion of the leased property in Monterrey by an additional 3,081 square feet and it is agreed to restart the term of the lease for five years from the date of delivery of the new development.

The option implies two additional renewal periods for three years each. With this expansion, the gross leasable area (GLA) will total 53,311 square feet.

Last January, it also signed a 12-year lease agreement with BWI for a 120,000-square-foot industrial building located in the city of Chihuahua. BWI is a multinational manufacturer of automotive components with operations in Europe, Asia and North America.

The company manages a portfolio of 109 properties, which in total comprises 521,336 square meters of gross leasable area (GLA), plus another 1,653 hectares of properties in the agribusiness sector.
