There are already 67 investment projects that the Secretariat of Sustainable Development (Sedesu) of Querétaro has in its portfolio.

If materialized, the investments would total about 93,000 million pesos and would generate around 42,000 new jobs in the state, reported Marco del Prete Tercero, head of said local agency.

Likewise, at the end of last week, 18 investment projects had been completed (more than half of those achieved throughout 2021), which add up to some 8,000 million pesos and the creation of 5,000 jobs for the state, the official added in an interview.

“If we compare it with the previous year, we finalized 2021 with 32 investment projects, we have completed 18, and it is three and a half months into 2022.

Querétaro continues with a solid attraction of productive investment, with a solid rate of job creation, with programs that we will be launching in the coming days, to support SMEs, small and medium-sized enterprises in Querétaro, ranging from competitiveness, from investment in technology and innovation, which range from promoting investment and generating employment, among other items”.

Del Prete Tercero highlighted the trust that investors have placed in Querétaro, because despite the different challenges that are currently being experienced, companies continue to be interested in establishing themselves in the entity or expanding their operations here.

At the time of attracting new investments, Sedesu Queretaro has undertaken actions to seek sustainable economic growth with the environment.

For this reason, the two axes on which the agency works are the decarbonization of the economy and the implementation of the Circular Economy System.
