Siemens will expand its presence in Queretaro, through the Kaizen project, this is a new section that will focus on the manufacturing of a range of products and solutions for energy protection and automation, as well as communications technology, according to with the company.

In the project, the firm will invest 940 million pesos, through the center specialized in the manufacturing of products under the standards of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), specified by the Secretariat of Sustainable Development (Sedesu).

The CEO of Siemens Manufacturing, Alejandro Preinfalk, explained that with this project the company significantly increases its production capacity in the entity.

The manager stated that the operations they have in Balvanera, Corregidora, have become one of the company's most significant production centers, covering the renewable energy and automotive markets, among others.

"Today we mark a milestone in history, we officially announce the launch of the Kaizen project, through which we significantly expanded Siemens' manufacturing capacity in the state, seeking to satisfy the growing demand and development of the North American market," he said.

During the investment announcement, the Secretary of Sustainable Development, Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, stated that this project is an example of relocation, because the firm expands its operations to continue serving new markets. The expansion project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2024.

He highlighted the decarbonization strategy that the company uses in its processes, by committing to reducing its carbon footprint, generating tools to reduce the impact of the industry.
