The new elements have to consider in the design of houses

The COVID-19 pandemic and the implementation of work at home has brought with it a need for spaces to be better designed and to offer a real window to carry out daily activities such as work, school and leisure.

The stay-at-home trend has made interior design experts think about how it will affect how living spaces will be redesigned in the future.

Hygiene will remain on everyone's mind. The use of materials will be modified to ensure that deep cleaning is possible. Materials with antibacterial properties such as copper, linen, and some woods may become more popular.

Extra space and security will become paramount in a pandemic environment - many clients are moving from big cities, either to gated private properties with gardens or to places where there are still ample green spaces.

Connections to our homes, both physical and mental, have never been so extensive, and this may persist and even intensify after this pandemic subsides. If this happens, the homes will have to accommodate a greater number of services and functions.

Air quality has been a major focal point during the covid-19 pandemic. People can begin to pay more attention to the quality of the air inside their homes by limiting the amount of unfiltered outdoor air that enters. Therefore, we can see an increase in air purification systems, which take in outside air, condition it and supply it to our house or apartment.
