Governor Javier Corral inaugurated the Alfa building of the new Spark Innovation and Technological Development Campus, with which Chihuahua advances from manufacturing to mind-invoicing in its commitment to better paid jobs, integrating itself into global value chains.

The project had a state investment of more than 215 million pesos, which includes civil works, the equipment of common areas, renders, electricity and water rights, executive project and land and an area reserved for the growth of the campus.

The Technology Park is the second of four centers to promote the technological revolution that the state government will deliver as part of its strategy to consolidate an innovation ecosystem, in support of creative companies and entrepreneurs.

The building has an initial capacity to house up to 350 professionals in an area of 18,000 square meters, with space for four modules of industrial caliber laboratories and dedicated areas for entrepreneurs, small companies and large corporations.

In the short term, it will be able to expand its capacity to 500 professionals, and in its first five years of operation it will generate an economic benefit of more than 450 million pesos. Its master plan has 7 hectares to develop in an orderly manner up to five buildings.

He affirmed that this project will directly impact the attraction of Direct Foreign Investment, an area in which the entity has received so far from the administration and until the first quarter of 2021, 6.262 million dollars, which places Chihuahua as one of the states that have received the most investment in the country.
