Nissin Foods Mexico will expand its plant in the State of Mexico, generating an investment of 15 million dollars and 580 direct jobs.

Alfredo Del Mazo Maza, Governor of the State of Mexico, declared that the food company is in the process of expanding towards the center and north of the country and, to achieve its business objectives, it will expand its presence in this entity.

The state president recognized the work of the Nissin Foods team, whose work is oriented towards innovation and quality, and this company has become one of the most important producers of processed foods in our country.

Likewise, he highlighted the importance of the Mexican food industry as a fundamental actor in the recovery of economic growth and opportunities, due to its levels of specialization, productivity and competitiveness.

It is worth mentioning that the dynamics of the sector and the characteristics of Edoméx, by having competitive advantages such as having one of the most robust communications infrastructures in the country and direct access to a market made up of seven entities and 42 million people, have allowed that, in recent years, the food industry has had an average annual growth of almost two percent.

Nissin Foods was founded in Japan in 1958, it is the pioneer in the manufacture of instant ramen soups, it employs more than 11,000 people worldwide and has reached a sales record of 40,000 million pieces of Cup Noodles, and has a presence in the United States, Brazil, Colombia, France, Germany, India, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, China, Japan and Mexico.

In the country, where it has been present since 2005, Nissin has opted for the State of Mexico, where its only plant in the country is located. Its facilities in the Lerma industrial zone and its Toluca Distribution Center supply the entire national market, export to Central America, employ 400 people, and contribute to generating 1,500 additional jobs.
