At an event held at the NISSAN A1 plant, NISSAN Motor Co., Ltd. Senior Vice President and President of NISSAN America, Jérémie Papin, announced an investment of 700 million dollars.
The investment focuses on making improvements to the manufacturing facilities at the Aguascalientes plants, as well as improvements in automation and the training of its employees.
Jérémie Papin stressed that NISSAN is ready to continue leading the development and mobility options that are innovative, technological, safe and electric, which is why they developed the Ambition 2030 program, a long-term vision to enhance mobility and go beyond .

“With electrification at the heart of the strategy, we plan to launch 23 new electric models, with the goal of reaching 50% electrification by 2030 globally; these (models) will offer increasingly interesting technologies, capable of improving the journeys of our consumers, as well as moving towards a sustainable future to help build a cleaner and more inclusive world, “he explained.
"All this transformation is part of our commitment to the global medium-term plan, NISSAN Next, created to make NISSAN a sustainable organization based on three pillars: business, product and cultural transformation," he remarked.

"With more than 60 years of manufacturing operations in Mexico, Nissan has built a history full of tradition and innovation," he said, in addition to highlighting the presence of NISSAN's global CEO, Makoto Uchida.
Likewise, and after highlighting the fact that the announced 700 million dollars will be invested in training, technology and improvements to the plant, he said that since the arrival of NISSAN in Aguascalientes, seven governors have passed and there has never been a setback.
