Nidec expands operations in Reynosa with investment of 23 million dollars

The world's leading company in the manufacturing of industrial alternators, NIDEC, announced an investment of 23 million dollars for the expansion of its operations in Reynosa Tamaulipas.

The announcement was made during a meeting led by the governor of the state of Tamaulipas Américo Villarreal, who highlighted the importance of this investment for technological development and innovation in the region, and also shared that 384 new jobs will be generated, thus improving the local economy. . 

Juan Carlos Sánchez Zamora, manager of the NIDEC plant, made the investment announcement official in a recent ceremony, which was attended by the president of the INDEX Maquiladora Association of Reynosa, Raul Setien.

NIDEC, a subsidiary company of the Japanese group Nidec Leroy Somer, currently operates two plants in Tamaulipas and employs around 2 thousand people.
