​ Nemak will expand operation in Ramos Arizpe focused on electromobility

In a couple of months the Nemak company with operations in Ramos Arizpe and Monclova will announce a new investment, which will be applied in its production unit installed in the southeast of Coahuila.

Sources linked to the transformation process that the company is undergoing said that this application of resources has to do with a process of productive change in the company in three different areas: Powertrain: cylinder heads, engine blocks, transmissions; Vehicle structures: longitudinal units, shock towers, vehicle structure frames and in E-Mobility Components: electric motor casings, battery casings, for hybrid or fully electric units.

The executives did not provide information on the investment to be made, but they commented that almost all of their production in Coahuila is concentrated in the Ramos Arizpe unit, which has already been transformed for this new stage.

At the Ramos Arizpe plant they are going to make aluminum engine blocks and they need to grow and they have a small operation in Monclova, but they already have everything concentrated in the unit in the southeast of Coahuila.
